Newly-opened Hello Sailor was faced with high expectations, being closely affiliated with the BigTime Bites favorite, Kindred restaurant down the road. On a menu loaded with seafood options, I couldn't settle on one item and opted for one of two platter choices on the menu, this one consisting of shrimp calabash and flounder. The flounder had an excellently seasoned crust but it was actually the shrimp that left me tempted to, "run it back" and order another round. The addition of fries all thrown together and presented on a tray brought me back to my Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry days, topping off a successful first trip to one of Charlotte's new most popular restaurants.
