I was in Portland for President's day weekend with my two boys for an AAU basketball tournament. After the three day tourney, we headed to Lake Oswego for breakfast. Our favorite spot (Babica Hen) was closed because of the holiday but when one door closes we know another opens. We found this new French place just around the corner. The restaurant looks deceptively small on the exterior but inside it's a happening place with multiple levels. My choice for breakfast was the Collete Omelette. Three eggs cooked with fresh basil and topped with artichoke hearts, fresh tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. Its served with their provencal potatoes and butternut squash on the side. Butternut squash cooked perfectly and the complement to the eggs. Very tasty way to start the day.
