I went to breakfast in Lake Oswego this morning with my wife and two boys. I am from Seattle but here for President's Day weekend. I grew up in Lake "O" and visit here often but this is the first time I have been to the "La Provence". It won't be the last. It's a little French place in the downtown part of Lake Grove. It sits where Baskin Robbins used to be when I was young boy. Either way, we had a great breakfast at this unique and bustling little french bakery and eatery. I went with one of their omelettes while my wife chose this unique oatmeal that we would later agree was more dessert than standard breakfast cuisine. The pan roasted oatmeal is served over mixed berries and a custard like cream (crème anglaise). There's enough oatmeal in here to serve a team. You won't leave hungry. I would have to say it's a little sweet for an every day breakfast selection but a definite treat for a special occasion. It also comes with a side of fresh fruit.
