I went to breakfast in Lake Oswego this morning with my wife and two boys. I am from Seattle but here for President's Day weekend for a basketball tourney. I visit this area often but this is the first time I have been to "La Provence" and it won't be the last. It's a little French eatery & bakery in the downtown area of Lake Grove. Today I went with one of their omelettes while my oldest son opted for the "Banana French Toast". We all shared in each others selection and this version of french toast one of my favorites. The toast (fresh brioche dipped in rich egg batter) is grilled to a golden brown perfection. It comes topped with caramelized bananas, candied walnuts, white chocolate, and a custard like cream (crème anglaise). Full of banana flavor and cooked to perfection, I made sure I carved out my fair share of this breakfast dessert. Nice selection Trey!
