03/01/18 Hall of Famers are rare for me but this dish right here: Salt and Pepper Squid, found at either of the two Nam Phuong Locations in Atlanta, embodies what it means to be a hall of famer. This dish has my friends coming in from out of town just to experience again, I have to eat it regularly, and when the spot light dims on the plate all you can do it reminisce on the amazing textures and flavors. The Squid is lightly battered and fried, then dry stir fried with jalapeños, scallions, fried garlic, and seasoned with salt and pepper. Sounds simple but I haven’t found any other restaurant make it similar to this, while calling their dish salt and pepper squid. Ordered alone is about $12 but the mvp move would be to go in a group and order the family meal which includes this entree and number of other dishes. Just be careful you may end up having to order additional orders of this dish because you, your friends and family will quickly devour this dish leaving you craving more. Side note: never order it Togo, you have to get it fresh out the kitchen while it’s crispy and hot.
