My wife and I were craving some tapas and we came across Miró in a nondescript strip mall in Charlotte's Ballantyne area. While the location may have been a bit odd, the restaurant's interior was hip and inviting. We ordered a variety of tapas and paella (and sangria) and were really impressed across the board - definitely several rotation-caliber dishes in the mix. But our favorite of the night was this mussel dish. These mussels are simmered in a slightly spicy tomato broth/sauce, with a ton of chunks of chorizo mixed in as well. The tender mussels and salty chorizo all soaked in the tomato broth combine to create an ideal bite of food. Borderline All-Star. If you're looking for tapas in Charlotte, Miró is the place to go!
