Wow. That's all I could say after the first bite of this phenomenal dish. The only soup better than this that I've ever had was from Futo Buta in Charlotte.
Zanyu is a new noodle house in Raleigh. The owner/creator worked as a chef in different parts of Asia for about 15yrs (if I remember correctly). Throughout his time there, he learned the local cuisine and decided to bring the flavor to Raleigh.
Egg noodles, Northern Thai chicken curry soup, tangled crispy noodles, cilantro, fried shallots, pickled mustard greens, roasted chili sauce, and lime is what comes together to make this soup. The sweet coconut and curry flavors combine to make a great great soup base that's filled with lots of chicken and lime, which opens you up to the great amount of flavors in this dish. It's spicy, sweet, bright, salty...the flavor in this dish is just Bigtime. It was very refreshing thanks to the lime and coconut flavors, and very filling. Add this to your growing list of places to try in Raleigh.
