Berkeley Bowl is NOT a bowling alley! It is an upscale health food market that locals claim as the greatest grocery store in all the land. They may be right. They have two locations and both these places overflowing with fresh, healthy, and delicious food. They are deeply religious places if your beliefs are based on food. On top of selling groceries though they have an amazing deli, sushi bar, cafe, and burrito bar. This morning I stopped in for breakfast with my daughter who is living in Berkeley. We went with the breakfast burritos. They make them to order. I went with a whole wheat tortilla, spinach, egg, country potatoes, jalapenos, avocado, peppers, salsa, mushrooms, and onions. The combinations here just incredible. Juicy, filling, and exploding with flavor.
