Flame-Grilled Lamb Burger at Kid Cashew in Charlotte, NC. I’m always looking for a good burger, and when a burger is flame-grilled (instead of seared in a pan or griddle), it especially catches my eye. This flame-grilled lamb burger at Kid Cashew was terrific, and worthy of ordering every time you’re there. Although I’m rarely a fan of thin double patties because I like my burgers medium rare and don’t like them overcooked (I prefer one really thick patty), this two patty lamb burger was cooked to perfection on their wood fire grill. Both patties had juices flowing out of them and forced me to ask our server for extra napkins (always a good sign). In addition, it wasn’t your regular run of the mill burger with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Instead, it was accompanied by a savory combination of red onion marmalade, arugula, and tzatziki. I also loved that the brioche bun was toasted on the inside yet soft on the outside. Kid Cashew serves Mediterranean food and has a diverse menu, serving everything from salads to meat (chicken, steak, lamb) and fish along with several Vegan and Gluten Free options. Open for both lunch and dinner and late on Friday and Saturday nights (11 pm).
