Peking Gourmet Inn located in Falls Church, VA just outside of DC is well known by locals and visitors for their crispy, hand carved roasted duck that is sliced table side. But if you’re ever at this establishment, don’t miss out on other menu items such as the Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Scallops. The proteins of shrimp and scallops are sautéed in a light oyster sauce with simple salt and pepper, onion and red bell peppers. The sauce is extremely flavorful with a sweet base and lots of black pepper for a spicy coating on the shrimp and scallops. The dish is not overly salty as one may expect as the onions and bell peppers absorb the salt while providing this dish with some crunch. Be sure to order this dish if ever at Peking Gourmet Inn.
