Proxi is a modern, hip restaurant with some really good food in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Its menu is seasonal, globally inspired, and great for sharing. We had several stellar dishes, including the smoked pumpkin with paratha bread (seen in background of this pic), the grilled octopus, and the thai beef salad. My favorite, and a consensus favorite of the table, was the pork lettuce wrap. The pork itself is ground and spiced really nicely but not overwhelmingly. It is served with fresh components for the wrap - butter lettuce, carrot and apple strings, and herbs. It also came hoisin sauce and sriracha. Combining everything in one wrap created a super flavorful morsel of food. The restaurant also had a solid beer and drink list and their desserts were also on point. Proxi is a bigtime spot with a fun atmosphere and attentive staff in my favorite neighborhood in my personal favorite food city. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
