06/04/18 I happened to stumble upon this casual Greek restaurant one day last year, and boy am I glad I did! I don’t know what it is about these gyros, but they are the best I’ve ever had (I’ll be in Greece for the first time next September, so ask me again after I get back from that trip). The portion sizes here are unreal. Meat and toppings are overflowing from the pita. It’s almost easier to pour it all out and eat it like a salad (a vet move if you’re trying to cut some carbs = order it without the pita and literally just eat it as a salad). Menu-wise, there are plenty of options to choose from, as each gyro is expertly prepared in-house by using an assortment of meats and spices with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Personally, I prefer the spicy lamb gyro, which includes the aforementioned toppings, in addition to slow-roasted lamb & beef slices, seasoned with “special mediterranean spices,” finished with tzatziki sauce. What makes it “spicy?” Add spicy garlic and feta cheese for $0.50! This thing is easily two meals for a normal person and only costs $7.50! (or $8 if you make it spicy). The fries are terrific, here, as well. This bigtime bite will have you gyro-stepping right into Beaverton! The Greek Freak himself would be proud.
