Avocado & Prawns Cannelloni at Tradevo in Seville, Spain. Tradevo is the place where I had one of my select few Hall of Fame dishes (Tuna Tartare) a couple years ago, so while in Europe, I decided to take a short jaunt down to Seville, and I’m certainly glad I did! I’m not a big avocado guy, but the server convinced me to try this dish, and it did not disappoint. This isn’t a pasta dish, as the avocado is cleverly shaped like cannelloni. Filled with a delicious mixture of diced prawns and a trace of dressing, it was light and refreshing and a great start to a terrific meal. Both the avocados and prawns were fresh as can be, and a lemon mayonnaise dressing was a nice complement to the dish. Tradevo is on my personal list of Top 10 favorite restaurants in the world. Wonderful ingredients, incredible dishes, beautiful presentations, and amazing service. The other beauty of this place is that I went in my long Jordan Brand capri shorts and a t-shirt and felt right at home. It’s got a casual, understated feel to it but you can dress up or down and you’ll fit in either way. They have three locations in Seville, all slightly different, but with some items similar. If you’re anywhere in Europe, it’s worth the trek down to Seville!!
