When in Vienna, what better way to finish a meal of bratwurst or schnitzel than with a rich, chocolatey dessert? The Sacher Torte consists of a chocolate layered cake with apricot jam layered in, and then covered in chocolate icing. It is then crowned with a chocolate coin, almost like a seal of authenticity from the hotel that shares its name. Each bite is rich, decadent and definitely Big time! The hotel cafe is casual and the waitresses have a fun energy. There is a shop next door where you can pick up these goodies and enjoy them as you stroll around Vienna.
