167 Raw is one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston - it has a cool, casual, intimate atmosphere with probably 25 seats total, and the food is delicious, especially the fresh seafood. The lobster roll here is the star, a legit HOF caliber roll and my one of my wife's favorite plates of food anywhere. On our latest trip, while she went with the trusty lobster roll, I went with the oyster po boy. This thing is stuffed with plump, crispy fried oysters that taste like the sea. These sit on a bed of fresh greens and are topped with a couple sauces, one of which is a tad spicy, one of which adds a bit of sweetness. The only thing better than these delicious contents is the bread roll itself. I'd conservatively estimate that this thing was browned in a full stick of butter. It was so good and perfectly buttery while still holding up to the sandwich contents and maintaining a perfect crisp. Really, really tasty sandwich.
