04/20/19 Pike Place Market in Seattle is famous for several reasons. Come see the fish markets, smell the fresh cut flowers, and get your fill of souvenirs. It's all amazing. Either way make sure your visit includes a stop at Mee Sum Pastry just across from the main entrance. Mee Sum is more of a food stand than restaurant but they deliver the goods and in a timely fashion. Their most popular selection is the Baked BBQ Pork Hom Bow (Char Sui Bao). Hom Bow is BBQ pork mixed with some spices and onions, wrapped in a sweet bread roll. It's simple and inexpensive at $3 a roll but always fresh, tasty, and filling! The pork is cooked just right. The BBQ is sweet and savory. The bread roll is soft and warm. They offer both steamed and bake versions. Go with the baked. One hom bow is the perfect snack. Two makes a great meal.
