Tartine's Bakery on the corner of 18th and Guerrero is just one block from Mission Dolores Park and perhaps the best bakery / deli in the city. The line out the door is never a welcome site but always a sure sign that something good inside awaits. They sell all kinds of breads, sandwiches, and desserts. My dessert of choice here is the Banana Cream Tart. Its most unique feature is the flaky crust coated with a thin layer of dark chocolate and carmel . The sweet cream, the bananas, and chocolate all work together in a way that was incredible for me. They also have a Coconut Cream tart that is a good rival here. Either way you can't go wrong at this place if you are looking for a tasty treat.
