I love me some duck meat. Taste similar to chicken with more thickness though. Duck meat tends to be dryer, and this one was solid as they sauced it up for you. The skin was little on the salty side, but I still enjoyed the tender crispiness of it. Be prepared to get your hands a bit messy, as there are ton of bones to sift through as you hold pieces of chopped duck in your fingers. It’s actually a whole duck that hangs on display in the front of the restaurant as you enter and when you order, they take it in the back, prep the sauce, heat it, chop the duck up, and serve. This won’t be an easy eat if you’re looking for something along the lines of boneless chicken wings that you can just pop in your mouth one after another. The duck also comes very oily/greasy, fashioned just like authentic Chinese food places. Although the name of the restaurant says noodle house, the roasted duck is clearly their main attraction as everyone comes in to order them some roasted duck. I caught notice of numerous to-go order requests for duck and while I was eating, some customers were turned away because they ran out. Ducks were flying out the door of this place and for legit reason. Maybe a business name change should be considered. As a proud Oregon alumnus would say - Sco’ Ducks.
