Dotonbori Street is a lively outdoor market that spans multiple city blocks and is full of small restaurants, souvenir shops and bars. The billboards light up the night and call to the city. Your senses are overwhelmed as you start walking along the street and the smell of delicious guides you to lines of people. A giant crab sits above the entrance to one of the famous restaurants that specializes in king crab. They serve it hot and cold, on a stick or as sushi. I tried the sushi version and it did not disappoint. The crab is fresh and rich, mixed with the right amount of sushi rice to complement the crab meat. It's BigTime!
