So Lulu once had this special menu offering of oven roasted chicken breast & French fries. This was the best combo ever to me back in the day. Pretty weird, I know, but I loved it and Lulu’s version was so freaking good. When I returned to satisfy my craving for some juicy sliced chicken breast topped with tomatoes and French fries, I was alerted that the one time special had ended and they’d no longer be serving that dish. The waitress saw how deeply saddened this heart breaking news had shun onto me and recommended that I ask the chef who came up with this special if he could cook up an exception. With no hesitation, she quickly went back to the kitchen and brought him to the front of the house. Super nervous, I couldn’t believe this was all really happening, like why couldn’t she just ask for me and put the order in. But here we were, chef and I face to face. I politely asked if he could run that chicken and fries dish back for me as it was so big time and he said, “for you, no problem sir.” He knew how much I appreciated that custom plate and from then on, this became my Lulu go to. Big thank you to chef for doing that. Will never forget this experience and will this chicken and French fries dish that all started at Lulu go with me for life.
