First timer noob at an Irish restaurant and my choice to get this dish was an easy one as I wanted to try the most Irish entree Mary O’Neills offered. This literally had “Irish” in the dish name + it had a bold red rectangular box around the entree on the menu signaling this is one of their mains so of course I was all in. What a fabulous decision too. This took me back home to the curry chicken my mom would make. Similar, yet not the same sauce, but it did trigger tastebud memories. This version contains a concoction of grilled chicken, bell peppers, onions, French fries, and rice simmered in Irish curry sauce. I went the Irish way and chose to get a duel combination of French fries + the rice. The waiter bringing it out validated and said I did it proper. The fries were a major hit and added a tasty dynamic that reminded me of a California burrito where they add fries in too. I’m a huge fan and was left with wanting more (portion of the bowl was on the lightweight side). They did provide plentiful pieces of chicken though and didn’t skimp on that (shots fired at Chipotle). Highly recommend Barney’s Reuben Rolls as well for starters which is an Irish version of an egg roll with corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese that comes out hot and served with a special Rosie’s sauce.
