Steak Tartare Nigiri at Qu in Madrid, Spain. If you love steak tartare and crispy rice, go ahead and hop on the first flight to Madrid - you won’t be disappointed! I couldn’t get enough of this amazing, delectable piece of steak tartare nigiri. What makes this dish so unique is all the flavors and textures involved - super fresh beef tenderloin, translucent white onions, the crunch of the crispy rice, the kick of the jalapeño, and a touch of whole grain mustard, all served on top of a sweet soy sauce. The only downside of this dish was that it was served in the hotel I was staying in, so it was always at my disposal (it’s served in both the lobby bar and the restaurant) and as a result, I didn’t get to as many different restaurants as I normally would. 😀. It was undoubtedly the best dish I had in a recent trip to Spain - Twenty-two total pieces for me in four days!! Located in the beautiful new JW Marriott hotel in the Puerta del Sol area, Qu is open for both lunch and dinner. Terrific service by friendly and knowledgeable servers. I also loved their Boneless Flank Pig and Grilled Artichokes with Iberian Ham.
