Blue Crab with Noodles and XO Sauce at Keller in Bangkok, Thailand. Late post from a summer trip to Bangkok. I had the pleasure of dining at Keller, a Michelin Guide restaurant which utilizes a tasting menu at a very reasonable price point. Every single dish was spectacular and elegantly presented, but my favorite was the Blue Crab with Noodles and XO Sauce, which was unique and bursting with different textures and flavors. Blue Crab originating from Thailand was served atop of thin noodles and a light broth. On top of the whole dish was a delicious, homemade XO sauce, which is what set this dish apart. Comprised of chopped dried scallops and shrimp cooked with chili peppers, onions, and garlic, the flavors were amazing. Service was impeccable and Owner / Chef Mirco Keller was kind enough to introduce and explain each dish to us as they came to the table. Serving “creative Asian cuisine using European techniques,” Keller will undoubtedly be on my list of places to visit each and every time I’m in Bangkok!
