Mee Ka Tee is a Laotian soup better known to English-speakers dining at Binda Manda in downtown Raleigh, NC, as Crispy Pork Belly Soup. It's very appropriately named, because the pork is literally crunchy on the outside. Not only is the texture great, the flavor is off the charts. The broth is coconut curry-based and also includes peanuts, eggs, julienned fresh vegetables, and rice noodles. It is garneshed with crispy purple cabbage and some cilantro. This soup has the ultimate blend of savory, sweet flavor with just the right amount of heat. The portions are generous as this dish is quite filling. Available on both the lunch and dinner menus. If you find yourself anywhere within the Triangle Area, make sure to try it out for yourself - this place is worth the drive!
