If you've never had the delicious creation that is a sopapilla, then I'm challenging you to improve your life. It's just fried dough with honey drizzled on top with some powdered sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on. Similar to a flat beignet or donut. Needless to say, I've had plenty sopapillas and they're very hard to mess up and it's rare to come across one that's good enough to brag about. But these stood apart from the rest. They were cooked perfectly; not too thin and not too thick or puffed up. The honey, powdered sugar, and cinnamon were teamed with whip cream atop a pile of beautifully crafed triangles of fried dough. They were just great. It's honestly difficult to attempt to explain what can set a sopapilla apart from others, but I tried. To make these even better, they have a deal on Sundays that allowed me to experience these for $2. I'm in love.
