Eating at Sugarcane while I'm in Miami is a must for me. So much deliciousness on their menu but if you only order one thing, it should be the bacon wrapped dates.
This insane concoction is made of plump, sweet dates filled with linguica sausage and manchego cheese wrapped nicely in a thick, smoky strip of bacon.
They are salty & sweet, crunchy & creamy with a little kick to them from the sausage. Other than their outstanding flavor the reason they get the franchise tag is because they are delicious any time of day. I've eaten them for brunch, lunch and as a dinner appetizer. For my West Coast friends, if Miami is too far, you're in luck as they opened Sugarcane in Vegas earlier this year & for my East Coast friends, Sugarcane Brooklyn is opening soon!
