San Francisco one of my favorite cities and this little Russian bakery and cafe on Balboa street a nice little find last year. It's been around since 1953 so it's passed the test of time turning out turning out delicious pastries, meat pies, breakfast foods, lunch entrees, treats, etc.. My family has eaten breakfast here several times (steel cut oats, french toast, strawberry custard croissant, etc.) and morning meals definitely their specialty. However, one of my favorite things here was their tuna melt on toasted focaccia bread. Fresh tuna wrapped in spinach leaves with a layer of melted cheese and arugula this sandwich definitely a winner. You really can't go wrong at this place. The cabbage filled Piroshki also very tasty!
