Located within walking distance of the Space Needle in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood, Citizen is a coffee shop/cafe/bar that came reccomended to me by a local foodie. I showed up for breakfast and was not disappointed. I'm always drawn to pesto and this time was no different. Simply put, this pesto crêpe was bigtime. It comes with your choice of goat cheese or sharp white cheddar (I went with goat), as well as sun dried tomatoes, arugula, avocado, and pine nuts. It's then topped with their homemade crème fraiche & pesto. I chose to add a fried egg (pictured) and potatoes (not pictured - but super tasty). All in all, I found this dish to be very satisfying and filling, despite the fact that it's vegetarian. I would have a very hard time not ordering this the next time I'm at Citizen, which is the definition of a starter!
