We made the trip from Charlotte to Davidson today all motivated and excited by the menu at Kindred. Located right across the street from Davidson College this place is replete with both attractive and savory dishes. As a group, we made it our business to sample as much of the menu as possible this afternoon. After some soup and fried oysters, I elected the avocado sandwich as my main source of nourishment. Avocado with spinach leaves, daikon radish, watercress, pepper, and a fried egg all on a toasted bun. Very tasty and flavorful to go along with my side of grits. I am both religious and fanatical about my avocados so this was a great choice for me. Although, it's a definite rotation item for me at Kindred it may be a while before I try again because so many other interesting options at this bigtime place.
