Rise is a small walk-in restaurant with a simple concept that combines two things that most Americans love: donuts and biscuits. However, it's not as simple as that. They offer a decent selection of sandwiches to choose from for lunch and the customization options add some variety to the place. I went with the chicken and bacon biscuit. The biscuit was great. It honestly made me think of my grandmas homemade super buttery biscuits. The chicken was absolutely perfect. Fried crispy on the outside, but so juicy on the inside. I seriously wish I would have stopped to get a cross section of it, but I didn't want to stop eating. The bacon was cooked crispy, just how I like it, and they put enough on the sandwich to make it worth the extra charge. I wouldn't recommend this to just have as a meal by itself, but they do have a few sides to choose from, but I would highly recommend that you try this. The only thing I would say this needed is some honey. It was very savory, which was perfectly fine with me, especially since I had a donut waiting for me afterwards. I'm a pretty big fan of biscuit sandwiches, and this is definitely one of my favorites. It's certainly an all-star in a wonderful franchise.
