If you are craving Thai street food without having to pay the exorbitant prices of a sit-down restaurant, then Thai Thai Takeout is the place for you in Charlotte. This hole-in-the-wall is located in the trendy Dilworth neighborhood and as the name suggests, only take out can be ordered from this establishment. In addition to street food staples like Pad Thai, five other noodle dishes are offered and all at reasonable prices compared to the sit-down Thai restaurants in town. I ordered the Lad Na which originated in Laos but has permeated the street food scene throughout Southeast Asia. The wide rice noodles are pleasing to the palate and the brown curry hits the spot with just the right amount of spice. Takeout orders do take about 25 minutes to fulfill but it is well worth the wait. Overall, Thai Thai Takeout is second to none in offering some of the best Thai street food in Charlotte.
