09/10/17 Seared Scallops at Dogwood Southern Table in Charlotte, NC. I love a good scallop dish, and this one at Dogwood was terrific. The super fresh scallops were good size and hard seared, giving it nice dark brown sear marks. Not sure what seasoning they used on the scallops, but it was Bigtime! Being the carnivore and seafood lover I am, I wouldn't normally get too excited about veggies, but the savory scallops were accompanied by beets, arugula, cauliflower and a ramp (a type of wild onion) vinaigrette, and the veggies and flavors mixed together really well. Dogwood has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Charlotte area. Great service, a diverse menu, and consistently terrific food.
