Rotisserie Chicken at Dienner's in Philadelphia, PA. A decent rotisserie chicken isn't hard to find - Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, and Boston Market all have decent rotisserie chicken that you can take home for the night, throw on the table, and scarf down as an individual or family and be satisfied for the night. However, if you want some BIGTIME rotisserie chicken that you'll be calling your mom about, then Dienner's at the Reading Terminal in Philly is your spot! This is one of my go-to spots at Reading Terminal and their rotisserie chicken trumps any other rotisserie I've had, whether fancy or not. Their chicken is spit-roasted and their proprietary seasoning is incredibly tasty. I'm a big chicken skin guy and like to tear it off the meat and eat the skin by itself, so I love it when the skin has some crispiness to it like Dienner's does. The meat is super moist and juicy inside. Dienner's is a take-out only joint (hence the fancy plate in the pic), but you can sit at the many tables inside Reading Terminal. They've been around for three generations and have fast and friendly service. Because they are located in the Amish section of Reading Terminal, they are only open 8 am to 3 pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 8 am to 5 pm Thursday thru Saturday. Love this place!!
