scouting report S. Bullock
09/17/17 I am staying at the Hyatt House in uptown Charlotte for week. After going for a long afternoon run I returned feeling like I had earned the right to a tasty evening meal. With mexican food on my mind, I checked out all my options within walking distance. Que Onda Tacos just over a half a mile away on West Trade Street quickly became the clear destination. It was 9 pm on a Saturday night and Que Onda did not disappoint. I ordered enchiladas with sides of guacamole and grilled corn. The presentation full of color, texture, and tastefully garnished immediately set the stage for a great meal. The enchiladas made with corn tortillas, pulled chicken, and cooked in a green sauce were full of flavor especially when combined with the refried beans and guacamole. The grilled corn called "Esquites" was freshly cut from the cob and another great mix-in for the enchiladas. It was the perfect late night meal. I am definitely going back to try the taco lettuce wraps.
