This is the first time I've ever had Armenian food and let me tell you, I came away very impressed. I scouted the menu ahead of time and heard great things about their lamb dishes so I decided to order the Lula kabob. This was hands down one of the best lamb dishes I've ever had. I read online that it requires a bit of preparation as cumin, cilantro, parsley, and tzatziki sauce are added to ground lamb by hand before they are placed on skewers and cooked over the grill.
From the first bite the taste and texture was pleasing to the palate! The three additional sides you can order (I ordered hummus, rice, and side salad) compliment the dish perfectly. The Lamb Lula kabobs are Franchise and since most foodies have probably never tried Armenian food before, I highly recommend exploring Ararat17 and all it has to offer!
While Armenian is somewhat close to Mediterranean cuisine, the Caucasus region is pretty far away on a map so therefore: Rich, please add Armenian to the list of ethnic cuisines above ;)!
