The Hubcap Burger lives up to its name, resembling the size and shape of an automobile hubcap. The franchise player in this dish is absolutely the fresh ground beef, hand-pattied into a circle that overlaps the bun even after it's cooked. You get so much meat, I decided I'd treat the outer edges like a hamburger steak, so I tackled those pieces with my fork. Once I ate the meat down to the bun, I put down the fork and approached it like a normal sandwich. But this is no normal sandwich. There may be no better combo of soft bun, fresh beef and melty cheese anywhere. The American cheese melted on top of the burger really sets it off with a rich, gooey experience. And the crunch of lettuce, juiciness of tomato and the sweet, creamy mayo really give it a classic taste combination. Cotham's in the City is only open from 11 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday, so you're on the clock. Don't miss it!
