Crispy Rice with Tuna at Naiyara in Miami, FL. I’ve had good versions of this dish at other restaurants, but this version at Naiyara blows all the other versions to smithereens. Each crispy rice square (5 in total for the dish) was decent size (roughly 3 small bites for each square) and had a nice crunch and texture to it on each edge of the square without being too crunchy or too soft. Topped with fresh sashimi grade tuna along with kimchee, mayonnaise, truffle honey, and eel sauce, every bite was oozing with flavor. Each ingredient was done in the perfect proportion so they meshed well together and no single ingredient overpowered any of the others. Naiyara serves traditional as well as modern Thai cuisine originating from various regions of Thailand. They also serve diverse and creative modern Japanese sushi and sashimi dishes. Besides this dish, I also love their tom kha gai soup, beef jerky, kao soi noodle soup, crab fried rice, and hamachi jalapeño. Love this restaurant for a number of reasons, but in other words, let’s just say it’s Bigtime!!
