Reading 'tomato salad' on a menu doesn't typically do much for me. However, the waiter highly recommended this dish at Henrietta Red. Boy, am I glad I listened to him. The salad itself is comprised of several different tomato varietals, including heirloom cherry tomatoes and green tomatoes, along with cucumber, goat milk feta, basil, mint, and house made sourdough croutons. Each bite was bursting with flavor and I never knew tomato varietals could each taste so different from each other) I also never knew tomatoes could taste so GOOD!). The feta did a nice job balancing the acidity of the tomatoes and the croutons provided the perfect amount of crunch. This was the ideal way to start the meal - it was extremely flavorful and refreshing, yet not very filling, at all. It's a seasonal dish and if you ever find yourself in Nashville during tomato season, this is a must try. Vet move: get the crab dip, too!!!
