Grilled salad - where have you been all my life? Before dining at 'Annette,' I hadn't ever experienced a salad with char marks all over the lettuce. Although I can't speak to other places, I highly recommend Annette's egg salad w/ grilled romaine - it has a ton of flavor, the texture is unique and appealing (for a salad) and you walk away feeling satisfied but not stuffed (the beauty of most salads). I'm a big egg salad guy, so I may be biased, but Annette's rendition seemed right on point. I opted for the grilled lettuce in lieu of bread just to keep it lighter, but the grilled romaine is what really made the dish a bigtime bite. Awesome space!
