Tom Kha Gai (coconut chicken) soup at Ruen Pair in Thai Town in Los Angeles. This place is legit. I love bustling hole in the walls packed with locals. Cash only place! Way too often the Tom Kha Gai at Thai restaurants is too milky and white in color because they don't use chili oil in the soup, making it bland and much less flavorful and consequently, the coconut milk overpowers the soup. This version at Ruen Pair has just the right amount of chili oil and coconut milk and is packed with chicken. It's the best Tom Kha Gai I've had in a long time!
