Burma Superstar is now one of my go to spots when I am in the bay area. This is my fourth time dining there and each time just gets better. With locations in Oakland and San Francisco, this place serves some unique and authentic burmese cuisine. It is a popular place with the locals so be prepared to wait 45 minutes to an hour just to get in the place. There are no reservations but you can call ahead and get your name on the waiting list. Today we started our meal with the vegetarian samusas. You can order them with chicken or lamb as well but today was all vegetarian for my daughter and I. You are served three hand wrapped burmese raviolis, deep fried, and fill with curry spices and potatoes. The spices have a little kick but not too much to distract from the incredible flavors. The combination of curry and potatoes one of my favorites. These are also served with a special house sauce. Great way to start our meal. Very filling complement to the salads we ordered.
