scouting report L. Thach
10/19/17 Growing up I remember going down to a Chinese baker down the street from my house and getting a yeast roll filled with the sweet and savory red BBQ pork. As a grown up I struggled to find restaurants that sold them. Usually you'll find them in bao form (white steamed buns). However, when I moved to the metro Atlanta area a small bakery on Buford highway called sweethut had them for $1.50/each and I was so happy to know I've got a place to go to whenever I craved it. Years have past since and sweethut has grown. Now with multiple locations around Atlanta and one in Texas I can walkin and grab my fix any day of the week and usually pretty late hours. These make a great "hey I was in atl and thought you might enjoy this" gift for out of towners as well. Now a days they're $2/each but still worked into my rotation. With its airy baked yeast roll and consistent taste of BBQ pork. 🤤
