The Bi-Rite Creamery across from Mission Dolores Park in San Francisco has been my favorite spot for ice cream for quite some time now. The location here is prime and the ice cream even better. Don't let the simple name deceive you. This is a long time family business that started out with baked goods and then branched out to ice cream. Both businesses on 18th street right across from each other. They have been in S.F. since 1940. They have some original flavors here and you can taste test all you want. Today I went with the malted vanilla which is filled with peanut brittle and pieces of chocolate. Ice cream my preferred dessert and this place never fails. Salted caramel supposedly their best seller. Honey Lavendar, Orange Blossom, and Balsamic Strawberry some of their more interesting flavors. You cannot go wrong! Come here on a sunny day and go hang out across the street at Mission Dolores. You will not be disappointed.
