10/22/17 Très super! Whenever I’m in Paris, I’m on the hunt for a slice of quiche for lunch. If you’re sight seeing around Notre Dame, I recommend getting off the main streets - away from the tourist trap restaurants. Tucked away around the corner from the famous Shakespeare & Company bookstore on a side street in the 5th Arrondissement, you’ll find La Fourmi Ailee (the winged ant). The quiche berrichonne is essentially a quiche lorraine (ham & cheese). The eggs are silky smooth mixed with onions & cheese and the ham is tender & flavorful. You get a nice little side salad which for me just made the plate pretty for its Bigtime Bites photo as the quiche is the pièce de résistance! Reservations are necessary as it is small & busy feeding locals but typically if you pop in an hour or two before you want to eat & give them your name & a time, that’s all the notice they need.
