Summer Memory Station is a great dessert spot located in the abundant Asian store strip mall on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, GA. The dessert spot has a laid back atmosphere and serve anything from boba tea drinks to nitrogen filled ice cream. On this night we ordered the Durian Crepe Cake ($6) and it did not disappoint one bit. The Crepe Cake is a decedent and elegant classic French no-bake cake consisting of 20+ layers of paper thin crepes, each separated with a brush of pastry cream. The Durian Crepe Cake is brushed with pastry cream and layered with fresh Durian pieces. It is light, delicious, and has great texture. The Durian taste is unique in taste and smell but has a sweet, soft pillowy taste. This dessert is definitely a must try for the food adventurer because it combines so many flavors and techniques.
