One does not expect quality authentic Thai food while traveling the food dessert between Louisville and Nashville. Buried between Cracker Barrel’s and Texas Roadhouses was the HIGHLY reviewed 2 B Thai in tiny Elizabethtown, KY. This is NOT a hidden gem... the yelp and online reviews were off the chart! But still, it’s Elizabethtown... how high could the standards be?? I was BLOWN away! My early judgement towards the town and preconceived notions of the lack of taste were shot down quickly! This place is OUTSTANDING! The TOM YUM GOONG was light, flavorful and bright with veggies. The shrimp was not over cooked, which isn’t easy with such a hot soup. I loved it! There were so many tasty dishes that I had NO clue how to pronounce. The owners were friendly and excited to share their culture through food. Shame on me for doubting the quality of Thai food in the heart of Kentucky!
