I am not a wing expert or aficionado... candidly, I sort of think it’s an over rated food. Wings to me have always been a edible sauce vessel. The standards for the quality of the chicken always thrown to the wayside for the spectical of the sauce. But the Hermanaki Wings are a whole ‘nother ballgame!
These are boarderline HOF’er status but I couldn’t pull the trigger. They are THAT good!
The chicken is moist and juicy, not over cooked. The wings are flash fried and then finished on the grill to give a texture that is familiar to wings but also new. The grill adds a depth to the flavor that turns a chicken wing into a delicious bite of chicken! The seasoning/sauce is spicy but nothing that makes your lips feel like hell. Not greasy, not overly sauced, just right. They serve them by the pound. They are outstanding. As a bonus, the Ranch is made in house and it is ordered to-go by all at the table. If you crave wings in Indy, these win and it’s not even close.
