Located in the beautiful west village of New York City, Don Angie is a new restaurant from the husband and wife team from Quality Italian. This dish hits all of your senses. First, you see the bright green and yellow chives hiding the spotted gnocchi below. The smell of the buttery, rich sauce invites you in. Then you take your first bite and the gnocchi feel like little pillows resting in a surprisingly light sauce. The black and white poppy seeds give a nice contrast of textures. They also give a nuttiness that is unexpected in a pasta dish. The vibe is trendy and casual, I can't wait until my next visit! They are open for dinner until midnight Thursday to Saturday, 11pm every other night.
