After dinner at Fenwick's tonight I looked at their dessert menu, which all together looked sinfully awesome. I wanted to eat all of their delectable treats, but in the end I chose their homemade pecan pie. I guess it's just the Southern boy in me...I couldn't resist. Needless to say I definitely made the right decision. My son felt the same. Goodness it was good. Perfect mix of sweet and salty. Clearly they used a ton of butter as the crust was good enough to eat by itself. It was served warm with a nice cold scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with some homemade whipped cream. I've eaten a lot of pecan pie in my day, but tonight was something special. I recommend this to anyone. It even rivaled my Great Grandmother Sweet Nanny's homemade pecan pie, which is saying a lot! Go get some!
