After seeing famous chef David Chang go crazy over this marinated raw crab dish, I had to try and find it in my local Korean neighborhood of Duluth, GA, since I never had it before. I was fortunate to find it at only one location thus far, Mapo Korean BBQ. To my surprised it was a really cold dish, crabs were fresh, and sauce was spicy with a sweet fermented flavors at the end. If you enjoy the Korean gochujang sauce, it's very similar, you'll enjoy this sauce. I enjoy sashimi dishes and tasting dishes for it's cultural flare this is definitely had both. As this was my first time eating this dish and Koreans always swear their mom makes the best dishes, I'm on the look out to try more. Reasonably priced at $13 for small or $23 for a big order like my friends and I did, it's plenty as a shareable app to your BBQ or dish to drink and snack on.
